Congratulations to Keri Lefort for being featured in e Bella Magazine!

Congratulations to Kari Lefort, Director of Programs for Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc. for being featured in the October edition of è Bella Magazine! Harry Chapin Food Bank is a current partner of the Junior League of Fort Myers, and this past January League members had the pleasure of work with Kari and the organization to put together packages of food for children’s programs throughout the county. When Kari was in her teens, her family home served as a refuge for women facing crisis pregnancies, which had a huge impact in her life. That influence would steer her to pursue a career in helping others.

Some of the programs Lefort oversees at Harry Chapin Food Bank include the Care and Share Senior Feeding program, Harry’s Helpings, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, Fufil Mobile pantries, the In-School Pantry program and the Harry Chapin Partner Agency program, a network of more than 150 partner agencies in five Southwest Florida counties. They currently feed roughly 28,000 people a week. As she looks towards the future, Lefort says she’d love to stay in the Sunshine State, and more than anything, she wants to continue a life of service- of helping others- just as her family did in the formative years.

“Making a difference, effecting change and giving people the help they need will always be my passion. It’s in my blood- and it’s what gives me joy” -Lefort
