Over the Summer, the Junior League of Fort Myers assembled a Task Force to provide the Junior League of Fort Myers with a specific area of focus and work under the umbrella of “Youth Development”

• Our Action Steps:
  • Research statistics related to “youth” (ages 1-18) in Lee County
  • Establish “Areas of Concern” that will turn into “Areas of Concentration” for JLFM
  • Participate in panel discussions, roundtables, and site visits with various organization within the community.
  • Speak with key staff and personnel of other non-profit facilities currently doing work in various areas
• Our Projected Timeline:

  June, July August – panel discussions, roundtables, and site visits

  September – Straw Ballot for League Interest, Sample Projects in proposed new areas

  October- Announcement of New Focus Area within Youth Development
