Multicultural Centre
The Junior League of Fort Myers donated $1,000 to the Multicultural Centre of SWFL to adopt 100 Lee County students in need. More than 2,000 Lee County elementary school students in grades K-5 received new backpacks, school supplies, and food at the Multicultural Centre of SWFL's 10th Annual Back-To-School Festival & School Supply Giveaway.
Harlem Heights Program
The Junior League got a little more connected to the community on Saturday, July 25th when they stuffed an estimated 300 backpacks for the kids in the Harlem Heights community with assorted school supplies that included paper, folders, notebooks, crayons, and calculators. This is the 4th year the League has supported the Heights program with volunteers and funding.
CCMI's Hearts & Hands Pre-School
The Junior League of Fort Myers donated Thanksgiving meals to the families of the Hearts & Hands Pre-School, located at Cooperative Christian Ministries Inc. The students and their families received everything from the turkey to the pie, all inside a re-usable Publix grocery bag.
