January 31, 2007: FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Junior League of Fort Myers will conduct a day-long face lift of the Women's Resource Center on February 17th from 9AM to 2PM at 1400 Colonial Blvd., Suite 23 in Fort Myers.
In addition to the contribution of clothing items to replenish WRC stock, League members will spend the day by revamping the look of the dressing area, re-organizing and installing displays, and adding storage and supplies to the office. The League is donating approximately $500 for supplies and 50 volunteer hours.
“We're thrilled to back at the Women's Resource Center,” states Deanne Kyle, President of the Junior League of Fort Myers. “Their success has been such an inspiration to all of us and we're pleased to be able to go back and help the WRC improve, so they can continue with their very important mission of helping women become more self-sufficient.”
The WRC was founded by the Junior League of Fort Myers in 1996. Its goal is to help women in need to become active members of society and providers for their families through various educational programs including the popular “Dress for Success” program.
“Dress for Success” provides interview training as well as interview appropriate attire, helping to give women the confidence they need to secure a job.
