Fort Myers, FL – September 8, 2006 --The Junior League of Fort Myers is partnering with Mercedes-Benz of Fort Myers to raise funds and give away a new 2007 Mercedes C230 Sport Sedan at this year’s Taste of the Town event on November 5, 2006.
“We are so thankful to have Mercedes-Benz support again this year,” said Gail Danis 2006 Taste of the Town Chairperson. “It is a great fundraiser that excites the community and is fun to promote! I love giving away that car!”
This year’s Mercedes Give-Away Fundraiser will happen in conjunction with the League’s Annual Taste of the Town Event “Party in the Park” on Sunday, November 5, 2006 11:00am till 5:00pm at Centennial Park in Downtown Fort Myers. Only 600 tickets will be available for $100 each—one of the ticket holders will be the recipient of a 2007
Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Sedan! The drawing will take place at Taste of the Town at 5pm (need not be present to win).
Tickets are available now at the League office (located at 12995 South Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers) or people can call the office at 239-277-1197 to reserve their tickets.
Taste of the Town will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2006 11:00am till 5:00pm. This event is a family oriented festival that caters to over 15,000 people from all over Southwest Florida. The concept, started over 24 years ago, allows the community to “taste” the signature dishes from top local and national restaurants and enjoy entertainment for all ages. Taste of the Town is the largest single food and entertainment festival in Southwest Florida. Entry tickets to the Taste of the Town are $4 in advance at your local Publix Supermarket or $5 at the gate.
Taste of the Town is the signature annual fund raising event of the Junior League of Fort Myers, Inc. Proceeds are given back to the community through the League’s projects.
