JLFM Taste of the Town 2010

                             28th Annual Taste of the Town Highlights                                                

The 2010 Taste of the Town was a huge success this year.  Over 15,000 people came out on November 7th to enjoy a beautiful sunny day in Downtown Fort Myers.  Forty-one local restaurants participated this year and served an amazing variety of tasty samples. The entertainment areas were a big hit with the Cat Country 107.1 Stage and the 95.3 OLZ/Zoom Tan Stage along with the first ever Corn Toss tournament.   This year, we had plenty of entertainment for the kids with the moon walk, rock wall, bounce house, face painting and more.  

The Junior League of Fort Myers would like to thank all of the sponsors, restaurants, volunteers and city of Fort Myers.  All proceeds from this event go to support the volunteer mission of the Junior League of Fort Myers

Taste of the Town Poster Contest

We partnered with the Alliance of the Arts this past summer to allow the kids at the summer camp to enter the 2010 Taste of the Town Artwork Contest.  Over 70 entries were submitted and the JLFM Taste of the Town Committee would like to congratulate its three winners. 

First Place: Joanna Bergquist of Fort Myers, 8th Grade (Pictured above)

Second Place: Samantha Coleman of Fort Myers, 9th Grade

Third Place: Jessica Gross of Alva, 11th Grade

Joanna, Samantha and Jessica all received a one year membership to the Alliance of the Arts, art supplies and 4 free tickets to the 2010 Taste of the Town.
