Women building better communities. That’s the Junior League. For more than 100 years, the Junior League has been a driving force behind exiting and innovative programs that make communities healthier, more vital places to live. We empower women through leadership training and development to take action in 294 communities throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Mexico.
Since 1966, the Junior League of Fort Myers has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the Greater Fort Myers community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Nearly 300 strong, both actives and sustainers, our members reflect a wide range of backgrounds, interest and professional pursuits. Working together, throughout our history, our members have proven to be accomplished collaborators. They build coalitions. They identify community needs. They develop effective and responsive programs to meet those needs. It takes courage and commitment.
Our commitment to making a difference is grounded in the history of the Junior League movement – a movement that spans more than one hundred years. A movement that has encompassed the changing needs of our world.
